Gionata Gatto is an Italian designer currently living and working in Eindhoven. Graduating from the Man Humanity Masters at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2009, Gionata’s work aims to deal with the impact of design on the social environment. His work covers a wide range of topics from cultural integration to energy consumption, the results being objects that aim to provoke dialogues, reflections and intuitions upon these themes. His works have been exhibited in galleries and events worldwide, including Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Maison & Objet, Sotheby’s, Triennale di Milano and the Tijdelijk Museum.
After graduating from the IM Masters course at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2009, Mike set up his own studio focusing upon design and future thinking. Mike’s work explores both old and new technologies in order to generate fresh relationships between function and behaviour, questioning common codes of conduct. His work has been exhibited worldwide including at the Milano Salone del Mobile, St Etienne Biennale Internationale Design 2010, and most recently at Green Machines: Kick-Start The Revolution at the Science Gallery, Dublin. Mike currently works from Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
